Technics SL-1200 MK2 Pitch Fader (10 Quantity)

This is an order of ten pitch faders.
Technics pitch faders for the Technics SL-1200 and SL-1210 mk2 direct drive turntables. The Technics SL-1200 had three different types of pitch control slide
potentiometers manufactured all with slightly different characteristics. The following information has been provided by Richard Talmage from Technics Service. He also re-engineered them for a better performance.

Pitch Fader Issues and Problems

There are a few mechanical issues such as loose parts that dont give a tight feel for control. Electrical component capacitor diminishes over time and wear down. Ive calculated that a full time DJ gigging and practicing averages to 5 to 6 years of lifespan on components such as the Technics 1200 pitch fader. A typical lifespan of a wearable component such as a slide potentimeter or a pitch fader can go all the way up to 1 million cycles but at a cost of course. That is the motion of moving the lever up and down. Over and over again. However, these 1200 pitch faders were re-engineered in 2018.

The following improvements were made to the new Technics pitch fader SFDZ122N11-2:

• 1) Resistance tolerance to be reduced from 20% to 10%
• 2) Resistance taper improved to be able to calibrate better at the original 2.7k VR302 gain (±10%)
• 3) Softer center click
• 4) Longevity to increase up to 15,000 operations.
