Do you ever get tired of carrying around your bulky audio rig? Or annoyed by the process of having to find the right power source/cable that seems to be prepared just for a single audio product? Maybe you would just like a smaller car amp, sound board, synthesizer, or a playback recording device for your current setup. A device that can also communicate via bluetooth or over the internet; so you don’t have to tear out your audio product from its neat setup with other components to be able to change aspects of the software. We, at RepairDJGear, have been developing a versatile audiokit, utilizing an ESP32 microprocessor, that can be used as a simple replacement for many out-dated audio products/devices. Some of the possible functions we have tested out for the audio board are: a music player, a synthesizer, a sound effect board, and a playback recording device.
The ESP32 audiokit is a small form factor audio board that allows for numerous audio functions and ability to attach peripheral audio components. There is a microUSB port and positive/negative power pins; allowing the user to have options on how they would like to power the device. The audiokit, not including peripheral components, requires only 3.3V of power to function properly, and comes with an onboard IC that is able to step down/up voltage inputs, ranging from 3V to 3.6V. All code and libraries are compiled through just one application: ArduinoIDE. The board comes with a low power mode for idle use, an SD card slot, two microphones, I2S communication, I2C communication, headphone jack, and bluetooth/WiFi chipsets. This audiokit board is a great replacement for out-dated, too bulky audio electronics, if size and weight are an issue for your current rig.
Audio signals going through the ESP32 audiokit can have adjustable bit size, ranging from 8-bits to 32-bits, and adjustable sample rates up to 48KHz. Audio signals straight from the board’s output is 3W, but additional components can be installed to reach upwards of 100W mono channel. Factory settings for audio quality can be easily changed even if you have a novice level of coding experience. Alternatively, you can contact us and we can provide remote support in helping you change your audiokit’s settings to be just right for you.
By taking care of initial software setup and creating a user friendly interface, we can make the audio board cater to your needs. Allowing you, the user, easy access to changing settings and music files that are loaded onto the audio board. Our audio board can be put to use within minutes of taking it out of the box and performing initial setup. With its small form factor and mounting holes, our audiokit can be installed into most locations and settings: car, home theater, DJ rig, computer setups, and office settings. Since every audiokit is custom designed for your needs and to keep the board operating as fast as possible, no two audiokits will function the same in every setting; unless we are specifically asked to include multiple function modes.
